Alrighty, let's do this thing.

Uh, if you really knew me, you'd know that I've been told 'no' almost all the time. That, no matter how hard I worked, I've almost always been let down in the end. The majority of the time, my dreams have been taken away right in front of me. I can recall several times where I say I want to do something and someone said, "You can't do that."

Perfect example? Tonight. I was talking to my dad about what classes I'm taking next year, (Physics, Advanced Algebra, Psychology, US Lit., American History, and Spanish) when he asked me where I wanted to go to college. I've been adamant about where I want to go for a while, so I said, "Somewhere on the coast, maybe, away from the midwest." and he just flat out said, "No." No. I hate that word. Screw that. The only good part of being told 'no' my whole life is that ability to fight against it.

Whenever I hear that I can't do something, I try my best to make things different. Resilience. Dissolving limits, one at a time.

On another (kind of related note), there's this song called Saves the Day by Atmosphere. It's incredible. Slug is amazing.

"I'm just waiting for the moment I can break away. The only reason I stay is to save the day."

Great lines. I love music with a purpose and meaning.
