I just tweeted this, but I thought that I'd say it again.

"If anyone has ever thought about it... wouldn't fighting fire with fire just make more fire?"

Why don't people just fight fire with water? ...or an extinguisher?

Take this for example: there's a new law that may be passed (if I'm correct) that allows teachers to carry concealed weapons to prevent gun violence in school.

Honestly, I don't like the idea of someone standing next to me having a gun, whether their intention is good or bad. It's just terrible to think about.

This one time, I was at a public event, and a few kids were running around the parking lot (that was filled with game booths and food stalls) and some random lady started yelling at them for really no reason. She told them to knock it off, and put her hand on her hip. But what was on her belt buckle? A gun holster full with a gun inside of it.

See. That just.. makes no sense to me.

Back to the topic of the teacher/gun law though. If a student is enraged, and pulls out a gun, and sees their teacher pull out a gun, what do you think they're going to do? Put their gun down? No. Of course not. It's just going to create more tension, and more people are probably going to get hurt than if there was just one gunman.

There was a lady, who is in fact a teacher, on the news this morning talking about this issue. She said she'd rather see non-physical actions taken to prevent violence in the first place. I definitely agreed with her stance.

Sometimes I really don't get the logic of some people. Hashtag just sayin.
