Alright, like it says in the description (I think you can see that), I got "challenged" to this resolution, and I'm not one to turn down a challenge, so I thought, "Why not?" and accepted. What was this said "challenge"? To write about my life and reflect on it every day for the rest of the year. So... here we go.
1-1-11, 3:26 AM:
I just got back from my friend's house about half an hour ago. I'm not gonna lie, wait, no, I don't have to lie. It was damn fun.
2010 was seriously a great year. I saw my favorite band in concert twice, saw one of my favorite rappers who barely goes on tour in concert at UNL (University of Nebraska at Lincoln), which was supposed to be an all college student event, but we went anyway.
I don't know... I can't really explain all the awesome things without writing miles of text. One thing I know is that, if 2011 is in any way as good, or better as/than 2010, I'm going to have a kick ass year. I mean, my friends and I already have already have some awesome stuff planned, so as of now, it's looking up to be a great year.
Random note here, but, I've noticed people changing over the year. Not physically by any means, but I mean mentally. Maybe I'm the one that's changing. I try not to, I swear. I'm who I am almost every second of the day. My mindset has changed for a lot of things, but I don't see how that could affect the people around me much- unless they can all read my mind. If that's the case, then that kinda sucks.
But all in all, I've had a good time. I look forward to (hopefully) keeping this resolution in check the entire year, since it would feel great to actually follow through with one, seeing as how most resolutions last about as long as a cheap pair of headphones- which, by the way, usually only last about a few weeks before giving out.
Other resolutions, get in better shape once my bones are healthy again, be a better person, try not to worry about things as much, don't care what people say or think, and... be awesome.

You are off to a great start! ONE down, 364 to go! I read that paragraph twice about you noticing people have been changing over the year. I wonder if you are noticing it in them and they are noticing it in you because Communication has opened up about social issues, politics, religion, equal rights? Just thinking out loud, because what is now acceptable to talk about in social circles used to be TABOO!
ReplyDeleteI think change is great. You shouldn't avoid it but embrace it. Now I have something to look forward to in 2011 on a daily :) Impressive Laura.
ReplyDeleteLaura- I love this! Also- don't drink milk...eat green leafy vegetables to improve those bones. If you must drink milk- drink almond milk :) <3 Nicole
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Nicole! She's right though you'll get more calcium from dark greens. Milk is for baby cows. But cheese is delicious!
